a little about Cruzn'k9
Hi, I’m Will. I am the owner and head trainer at Cruzn' K9! Aside from having pet dogs since a small child and learning just how amazing (and frustrating) these creatures can be , I started getting into dog behavior and obedience about 9 years ago when I had to put my 2 year old pit mix to sleep after getting hit by a car. Unfortunately, his lack of training and my lack of knowledge caused him to run straight out of the door and into the street . At the time, I had no idea where to even begin. I paid the ULTIMATE price for my lack of knowledge and understanding of what it truly means to be a dog owner. I then understood there is way more to owning a dog than just loving them. From that day on, I said I would NEVER feel that way again. I dove DEEP into the world of animal behavior, specifically canine behavior. I learned all different kinds of training methods, and finally found my place in the "Balanced" training world, while basing the entire foundation of my program around my experience. What started as a journey to educate myself and avoid future issues or tragedy, gradually turned into helping other friends and family and eventually launching Cruzn' K9! My main goal is to help educate other pet owners, arm them with the tools and skills they NEED to have CLEAR communication and build the best possible relationship they can with their dog. I truly do not want anyone to ever have to feel the guilt and grief I had to endure having to put my dog Bane down at such a young age. If I had known some BASIC things, this tragedy could have all been prevented.
